Setting up your availability
Select the person icon in the top right-hand corner of the navigation screen. Select Interviewer Profile from the drop-down menu and navigate to the Availability tab.
Start by ensuring that you are using the appropriate time zone. In the “My Time Zone” section you can select Set to current time zone or use the dropdown menu to select your preferred time zone.
Select Add Availability.
Keep in mind that the system requires you to set availability in 30-minute increments. Based upon how your agency’s USA Hire Interview instance is configured, the system may automatically schedule the interview panel for an additional 15 minutes per interview to allow time for consensus. This additional time will need to be factored in when setting your availability. For example, if interviews are set up for a duration of 60 minutes, the interview panel will need to be available for 75 minutes. The availability table is set up in 30-minute increments, so panelists will need to add 90-minute blocks of availability per interview.
To determine the duration of your interviews and whether your agency is leveraging the additional 15-minute buffer, contact your USA Hire Interview project manager.
Indefinite availability
If you have a stable schedule that will allow you to be available to conduct interviews at the same times each week, use the Indefinite button in the “Date Range” section. Click and drag your availability in the “Day/Time” section. The system will recognize the dates and times that are highlighted green as available for candidates to schedule an interview.
You can click a green cell again to remove availability. Select Done to return to the “Availability” tab in your Interviewer profile. Select Save to save your changes.
Irregular availability
If your availability will change on a weekly or other basis, or your interviewing period is finite, use the Custom Range button in the “Date Range” section and enter the dates you would like to set up availability for using the dropdown calendar function. Click and drag your availability in the “Day/Time” section. The system will recognize the dates and times that are highlighted green as available for candidates to schedule an interview.
You can click a green cell again to remove availability. Select Done return to the “Availability” tab in your Interviewer profile. You can click Add Availability again to add availability for another date range. Select Save to save your changes.
Blocked Dates
If you will be completely unavailable during a specific time you have currently allotted as available, you can block those dates out using the “Blocked Dates” section. Select Blocked Date Range and use the dropdown calendar to select the date range you will be unavailable for. Select Add, then select Save to save your changes.
